Richard J. Fay, M.S., P.E.

President / Mechanical Engineering

Richard Fay is the founder and CEO of Fay Engineering and has been the driving force behind the company for more than 40 years. He has extensive experience in crash investigation including vehicle and site examination, vehicle dynamics, accident reconstruction, highway and transportation engineering, and highway safety. 
 
Richard holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and is a Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Colorado and Nebraska. He is the author of many scientific papers in the field of vehicle dynamics, computer simulation and accident reconstruction. He uses 2D and 3D computer graphics to aid in the presentation of complex analytical results to non-technical audiences. Mr. Fay has been instrumental in developing methods for incorporating exhibits into the paperless courtroom.
 
Richard was prominent in the evaluation of the application of accident reconstruction and simulation software. He has decades of extensive trial experience and has served clients across the US including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, as well as Canada and Mexico.
